Miniclip has offices in six countries across the globe, but its largest can be found in London, UK, home to over 40 Miniclippers. Located in Central London, the office is only a short walk in one direction from the UK’s tech hub, locally known as “The Silicon Roundabout“, and an even shorter walk in the other direction from some of London’s most recognisable landmarks.
This is the location of the creative design studio. It is responsible for making and managing the games you see on Miniclip.com, developing the the website, and making the art that can be found around the site. It’s also home to Miniclip’s business support team.
The London office is also really cool, with three floors of awesomeness. I sat down with the London Office Manager, Dan, to talk about day to day life in the London office.
What are you doing right now?
Can’t tell you, its top secret! There’s always something to do, Christmas party organising has been a big project recently, with a lot of help from a few fun loving people, we should have a fantastic celebration.
What’s the best thing about the Miniclip office?
The people! People who make it a good working environment and who make you want to come to work. Everybody in the London office is good fun to be around and I laugh every day.
As the person responsible for everyone’s safety, is there anything you ever get worried about?
I’m constantly worried; the Directors are the worst offenders. Seriously though, an office environment is pretty safe, the worst that could happen is a bit of table tennis elbow or being hit in the face by a Nerf dart
If you weren’t making sure everything runs smoothly at Miniclip UK, what would you be doing?
I’d love to say being a diving instructor and sunning myself on a beach, but probably working for a very boring organisation and not having any fun in my work place.
