Bike Rivals: meet the bikes, part 2

Our run-down of all 12 bikes available in Bike Rivals on launch continues with the final 6! Now we get into the top tier, the really good bikes that will take considerable effort to unlock. But boy oh boy, are the end results worth it. Some of the stats on these rides are insane. Remember to download Bike Rivals on iOS and Android!

If you haven’t read the first part of our guide, check it out HERE!

bolt

BOLT

TOP SPEED: 5
ACCELERATION: 3
HANDLING: 4
NITRO: 5

The Bolt is the final “average” bike, sporting decent all-round stats and a sleek black design. Until you earn one of the next five, high-tier bikes, the Bolt is likely your best option, offering excellent performance and cool looks to boot. One question though: bolt as in lightning? Or the thing that keeps steel rigging together? Or the thing you shoot out of a crossbow? These are pertinent questions that deserve answers.

bike 5

CHOPPER

TOP SPEED: 6
ACCELERATION: 8
HANDLING: 3
NITRO: 8

Now we get onto the really fun stuff. The Chopper looks like it comes straight from a chapter of the Hell’s Angels, or an episode of Sons Of Anarchy: all badass, all the time. As you can see, it has excellent statistics, aside from the poor handling you’d expect from a massive, butch bloke on a massive hog. So, you might not be doing loads of sweet backflips, but for cruising in speed and style, the Chopper is tough to beat.

bike 4

EXTREME BIKE

TOP SPEED: 7
ACCELERATION: 6
HANDLING: 9
NITRO: 5

The opposite of the Chopper, the Extreme Bike is all about the precise handling – in fact, it has the highest handling stat of any bike in the game. This is THE bike for those of you that want to make crazy trick videos, linking multiple flips in one jump, careening about on one wheel and generally acting like a parkour madman – but on a bike. When it comes to navigating potentially disastrous obstacles, nothing is better than the Extreme Bike.

bike 2

DYNAMITE

TOP SPEED: 6
ACCELERATION: 5
HANDLING: 6
NITRO: 2

At first glance, the Dynamite bike seems lacking compared to other high-tier rides, but it has a special ability that makes it truly unique. When riding the Dynamite, you will survive your first impact that, on any other bike, would kill you and force a restart. That’s right, the Dynamite essentially gives you an extra life on every run. Whether that is worth the loss in stats is up to you.

bike 6

LEGACY

TOP SPEED: 7
ACCELERATION: 7
HANDLING: 3
NITRO: 6

While we aren’t going to come right out and say the futuristic Legacy bike was inspired by a particular classic sci-fi film that also features motorbikes, you’d be forgiven for coming to that conclusion yourself. Aside from looking totally sweet, the Legacy features excellent speed and acceleration and has the added ability of increased performance on ice, which is very handy in the third world of the game. But honestly, we just like it because it looks so rad.

bike 1

1290 SUPER DUKE R

TOP SPEED: 9
ACCELERATION: 7
HANDLING: 5
NITRO: 7

Real-life motorcycle fans will know the name KTM, Europe’s biggest motorcycle manufacturer. Well, we’ve teamed up with them to offer the 1290 Super Duke R in Bike Rivals, and what a bike it is! The Super Duke features the highest speed of any bike in the game and excellent overall stats to make it an superb choice for any course, and it looks awesome to boot. Be warned, though – it will take all the skill you have to unlock the Super Duke. Only the best need apply.

Thus concludes our run-down of the 12 bikes available on launch in Bike Rivals. The game is out now on iOS and Android and is absolutely free. Are you ready for some extreme motocross action?
