We’re thrilled to welcome one of the world’s most famous clubs to Soccer Stars – Manchester City are coming to the game! And that’s not all… we’re also adding leaderboards and weekly competitions, in one of our biggest updates yet.
Here’s everything that’s coming to Soccer Stars in the next few weeks.
Official Manchester City teams
One of the world’s biggest football clubs are about to take the field! We welcome Manchester City FC to Soccer Stars, after we received tons of requests from players who wanted the chance to play as the Citizens in our game. City were the champions of England in 2012 and 2014, and have continued to be one of the top clubs in the country with a whole host of exciting talent in their squad. Now, thanks to popular demand, we welcome them to our game!
Here’s a sneak peek at the 3 Manchester City teams that will be playable in Soccer Stars after the next update.
Time Rush Challenge
As well as being able to play as Manchester City, we’re also adding a new game mode to Soccer Stars: Time Rush Challenge.
Unlike normal 1v1 games, these matches will have a time limit: for the first time ever, it’s whoever has scored the most goals when time runs out that will win. You have three minutes to outscore your opponent – there’s no goal limit. If there’s a tie at the end of the three minutes, the next player to score wins. We’re excited about how this might change up the tactics of some of our players, as you’ll have to weigh up whether you need to be defending, or whether you should try and push to extend your lead! The Time Rush Challenge is only here for a few weeks, so don’t miss out on giving it a try.
Leaderboards and Leagues
We did say this was a pretty big update…
Without doubt one of the most-requested features from our Soccer Stars players is that we add leaderboards to the game. We’re adding these in the next update, so that you can see how you compare to other Soccer Stars players around the world… and hopefully look down from upon your perch at the top of the standings, and laugh.
You’ll automatically be entered into 4 separate leaderboards – Friends, Country, World and My League – and there’s prizes to be claimed for finishing in the top 3 each week. Remember, you climb the leaderboards by winning games and coins.
My League works in the same way, but you’re matched with a smaller number of players of similar level and coin balance to yourself – this gives you a better chance of finishing in the top 3. Of course, the harder the leaderboard, the bigger the prizes you can win. You progress to higher leagues by earning XP and levelling up in the game.
As you move through the leagues, you’ll also unlock special packs in the shop. These let you buy bundles of items using your bucks. The higher your league, the better the bundle! Some of them even have exclusive teams for you to collect…
More on the way
We’re not done with Soccer Stars for 2015 just yet… we’ve got some other things planned between now and the end of the year. But in the meantime, get ready for this update, coming to the game in the next couple of weeks. As always, follow our Facebook page for all the latest news, and if you’re not already playing Soccer Stars, get it free now from the App Store and Google Play.
